Activities for Schools
2nd Cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6)
Lab 0_6 offers a series of activities designed for children and teachers at interested schools. The activities listed below are aimed at the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years).
Activities for 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6)
We propose spending a whole morning of science by combining two activities: one free-choice activity (Exploration in the Lab) and another focused on a specific challenge (Colored Water, Earth Balls, or Properties of Materials).
Lab 3-6 is a free-choice science space where all activities encourage the mobilization of scientific ideas in children, which teachers can then build upon in the classroom.
Below, you can find a brief overview of the activities with a specific challenge:
Science Workshops:
- Balls with different types of sand: We propose making balls with the option to choose from different types of soil, highlighting that different soils have distinct properties.
- Colored Water: We present a challenge: to dye water using natural elements.
- Properties of Materials: Through a challenge, we observe the properties of various materials to make some of their characteristics evident, such as impermeability, buoyancy, and absorption, among others.
